Because of Coronavirus we are now offering online Triage appointments with your surgery doctors.
Appointments
Appointments can only be provided for patients registered with the surgery. Registration is very simple and just requires you to come into the surgery with a piece of photographic ID; like a passport. You can book an appointment up to one week in advance or on the same day you wish to be seen. Please make sure you arrive on time as you will be asked to re-book if you are more than 15 minutes late.
You can book an appointment with a doctor up to one week in advance or on the same day you wish to be seen. The surgery will endeavour to comply with any reasonable preference of practitioner expressed by patients.
For your convenience, the surgery offers telephone appointments to patients who do not need to be seen in the surgery. An appointment with the nurse can be booked up to one week in advance. Please make sure you arrive on time as you will be asked to re-book if you are more than 15 minutes late.
Book an appointment here to see/speak to your GP, who will be able to provide you with advice and treatment for a range of medical conditions/problems.
You GP can provide you with the following services:
Face to face and telephone consultation to discuss your illness
Diagnosis of your medical conditions
Providing advice and treatments to manage your medical conditions
Referring you to other services for specialist advice and treatments
Initiating new medications and Issuing new prescriptions
Visiting you at home for your medical conditions (For housebound patients only)
Providing you with antenatal and postnatal care for you and your newborn
Book an appointment here to see your practice nurse, who will be able to assist you with diagnosing, managing and caring for various ongoing illnesses.
Your Practice Nurse can provide you with the following services:
Diabetic Reviews (old and new diagnosis)
Asthma/ COPD reviews
New/Repeat contraception requests
Complex leg ulcers/ Doppler.
Cervical Smears
Baby Immunisations
Book an appointment here to see your HCA, who will be able to assist you with reviewing and caring for various ongoing illnesses.
Your Health Care Assistant can provide you with the following services:
Blood Pressure checks
Height/Weight checks
New Patients Checks
B12 Injections
Flu /Pneumonia Injections
Spirometry
Diabetic reviews (needing B/P, urine, blood test forms, foot checks)
High Cholesterol advice
Nhs Health Checks, Doppler (accompanied by the practice nurse)
Book your appointments through the NHS App
If you’re a patient at our practice you can now use the new NHS App, a simple and secure way to access a range of NHS services on your smartphone or tablet.
You can use the NHS App to check your symptoms and get instant advice, book appointments, order repeat prescriptions, view your GP medical record and more.
If you already book your appointments and order prescriptions through the Brigstock Family Practice website you can continue to do so. You can use the NHS App as well.

Out-of-hours and weekend emergency appointments – 111
NHS 111 provides out-of-hours service. If you require care before the next the time the surgery is open, just dial 111 on your phone.
